Why there hasn't been a thread about [email protected]? Just a couple quick facts about it:

1. It is illegal for the whitehouse to maintain any records of citizens excercising their first amendment rights. Privacy Act of 1974

2. When asked about the flag program on CNN Linda Douglas (Director of Communications, White House Office of Health Reform) said that "there is no list being compiled, the information is not being retained, the sources are not being tracked." That is also illegal, federal law requires the whitehouse to save and archive all of it's communications.

It's about the ridiculous rumors about the bill, not the person making them or passing them around.

Yep, more of an "FAQ" type thing than anything else. It's not a mechanism to "track down those that dare disagree with das fuhrer"...as I've heard some say. It's for the White House to collect what crazy claims regarding health care there are out there, and for them to be able to answer those claims and debunk them one-by-one as they come in. I don't see much wrong with that.

Now if we want to talk about infringement of civil rights, let's talk the Patriot Act. Because [email protected] pales in comparison to all the things that the Patriot Act let the last administration do as far as tracking civilians.

It's a funny thing to me that when Bush and Cheney were lying, cheating, stealing, and basically dictating to the American people they were "patriots"...and now Obama is trying to fix the mess they left in a similar manner that FDR used to right the country after the Great Depression, he is labeled a "furhrer"...to me that's just another sign that most Americans are sheep and can't realize that the reason they can't see isn't because they are blind, but instead because they have their heads up their asses. It's dark either way I reckon...
